Using the site

Calculator Castle is free to use, with no account required. You may use the calculators for personal or commercial purposes, print or save the results, and quote figures from the articles with a link back to the page they came from.

What the results are

Every figure this site produces is an estimate produced by a published formula from the numbers you entered. It is a calculation, not advice, and it cannot account for your circumstances, your jurisdiction, your tax position or your health. The disclaimer covers this in full and applies to every page.

We take accuracy seriously: each calculator documents its formula and the source it comes from, and results are checked against published examples where those exist. We still make no warranty that any result is correct or fit for a particular purpose. Verify anything that matters with a qualified professional before acting on it.

Accounts

An account is optional. If you create one, keep your password to yourself and let us know if you think someone else has it. You are responsible for what happens under your account. We may suspend or remove an account that is used to abuse the service, and you can close yours at any time by writing to us.

Acceptable use

Do not use this site to:

• Scrape the pages at a rate that degrades the service for other people, or copy the article content wholesale onto another site.
• Break into any part of the site or its infrastructure, or attempt to.
• Present the calculators as your own product, other than through the embeddable widgets, which have their own terms below.

The embeddable widgets

Our calculator widgets are free to place on any website, commercial ones included. Using one means agreeing that the materials are provided as is and without warranty, that the calculation logic in the script is not altered, that the credit link back to Calculator Castle stays visible, and that copyright in the code remains ours. The widget page carries the same terms alongside the code.

Ownership

The articles, the calculator components, the design and the name belong to Calculator Castle. The formulas themselves do not: they are published mathematics and public standards, cited on the page where they are used, and nobody owns them.

Availability

The site is provided as is. We do not promise it will always be reachable, and calculators may be changed, corrected or withdrawn without notice. Where a calculator depends on an external source of data, such as exchange rates, that source may be unavailable or out of date, and the calculator falls back to stored figures when it is.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Calculator Castle is not liable for any loss arising from use of this site or reliance on a result it produced, including financial loss, lost profits or lost data. Some jurisdictions do not allow limits of this kind, in which case the narrowest limitation permitted applies instead. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes

These terms may change as the site does. The date at the top shows when they last did, and using the site after a change means the revised terms apply.
